For 70 years, this tiny spot has been serving mouth-watering bocadillos and bolintxe. Homemade, delicious and moreish. Take your food to go and enjoy it at the Náutico nearby.
You need to try the fried squid bocadillo.
Enbeltran Kalea, 6 · Parte ViejaA sporty and youthful atmosphere, great for groups who want an evening of cheap pintxos and beers. Authentic food, traditional décor and humble people.
You can only get there on foot.
Fermin Calbeton Kalea, 10 · Parte ViejaOne of the most beloved spots in the old town. Come for the cheesecake — the legendary Basque burnt cheesecake that started it all. Be prepared to wait.
31 de Agosto Kalea, 3 · Parte ViejaIf you only go to one place, make it this one. A wild variety of pintxos that let the food do the hard work. No-frills, completely brilliant.
Ask for the potato omelette, mini completo, and the Indurain pintxo.
Peña y Goñi Kalea, 13 · GrosWith ovens at eye level and bakers crafting behind the glass, this is the place for bread lovers. Huge range of breads, sweet treats and excellent coffee.
Don't leave without a sourdough loaf and a slice of cheesecake.

Since 2014, Dabadaba has been hosting everyone from local rising stars to international acts — techno to jazz, theatre, art shows and street markets all get the spotlight.

Nature's influence runs deep through this creative city — in the galleries, the architecture, the street art. You'll feel it breathing life everywhere.
Inside the walls of a former tobacco factory, you'll find the city's coolest creative community. Check out their rooftop bar too.

Dreamy beaches, enchanting royal gardens, magnificent vistas from above — the outdoor spots here are the real deal.
Picturesque pathways and hidden viewpoints as you trek up this former 12th-century fortress. In summer, reward yourself with a beer at the Polvorín bar at the top.
Monte Urgull · Parte ViejaBuilt in 1893 for Queen María Cristina of Austria, this palace exudes English countryside charm. The gardens are the real crown jewel — a serene spot to gaze into the blue sea.
Sunset and sunrise are especially magical.
La Concha Beach · AntiguoGrab a board, ride the Basque Country waves, and when the sun sets enjoy a cold beer with friends while the sky turns orange and pink.
